Born and raised in Olds, AB, I have always felt the need to express myself artistically. Through my teen years my artistic outlets were drawing, painting, music and clothing. Then, for graduation, my Mom gave me my first camera and I was hooked immediately!
After high school, I earned a Diploma in Social Work from Red Deer College. However, after several years working with homelessness and addictions, and all of my free time being spent on photography, my need for creativity became apparent. So i headed to the Western Academy of Photography in Victoria, BC where I graduated with a Diploma in Professional Photography.
I am passionately in love with photography. Documenting the human experience, and all of the precious moments involved along the way, makes my heart sing. I now live my life through the eye of a lens. I strive to make photos that capture the heart and soul of the subject, and tell your story in a beautiful and unique way. Beauty is everywhere, in all the moments and details of our lives, both big and small. I am so grateful to everyone who has trusted me with their memories.
Tell us what your one must-have piece of gear is and why:
I always have my 5D Mark 3 and 85mm 1.2.
I like to switch up which lens I use to keep myself versatile and flexible, but I just really enjoy shooting with the 85mm.

Lightroom, I would be lost without Lightroom. I do all my culling and organizing and basic edits there.
What’s your advice for someone just starting out?
The business side of things takes up so much more time than I ever could have guessed. I dove in thinking business was just a little part of it. I’m just now learning to outsource some things and find some programs that give me more time to shoot.
